Hamptons has concluded the acquisition of CNC Center Ltd. at Veszprém, Hungary. This event put a full stop at the process that started in 2021 when Hamptons began a hire arrangement of two top of the range Okuma machining centres. Hamptons hired skilled staff locally and started to integrate this manufacturing capacity into the existing production facility at Budapest.
One “OKUMA GENOS M460V-5AX 5D machining center” and the “Tatung-Okuma GENOS M560R-V Vertical machining Center” are now complementing Hamptons’ existing high precision CNC machine park. Both machines are robust, rigid, and built in a way to secure uncompromising precision.
The 5-axis machine allows tools to move simultaneously around 5-axes of an object, whilst the 3D machine caters for milling larger pieces in a productive and high accuracy manner.
Hamptons plans to develop further its new production site at Veszprém and already installed the existing Haas ST30Y CNC lathe next to the OKUMAs. This allows the site to produce work pieces from raw material to complete part.
